Shop til You Drop On Tuesday ThinkProgress.org reported on a press conference held by President Bush. Apparently Bush was discussing his ideas for battling our budget woes.  What did he suggest? Go Shopping More.  I would think my husband would disagree. Today, President Bush held a news conference where he discussed the “way forward” for the economy in 2007. Renowned Morgan Stanley economist Steven Roach says the the “odds of the U.S. economy tipping into recession are about 40 to 45 per cent.” New York Times columnist Paul Krugman notes that “the odds are very good – maybe 2 to 1,” that the U.S. will teeter toward a recession in 2007. Bush’s solution? “Go shopping more. http://thinkprogress.org/2006/12/20/bush-shopping/

From BellaOnline.com: http://www.bellaonline.com/code/psychic/indexn.asp Are you psychic? Do you have psychic powers? Here’s the classic color test to find out. You will be tested on the cards 10 times to see how well you do at predicting which will come up. Be sure to do all 10 rounds to get a true estimation of your psychic abilities! Here is how I faired: You got 3 out of 10 cards correct. You got 3 right – you were very distracted. Focus and try again. Ok. So I am obviously not psychic.

So I was reading a blog this morning (http://www.gdaugherty.blogspot.com/) and the latest entry really got me thinking…..   I am sad. This weekend I found out that my best friend is moving away. I don’t even know the words to use to express how devastated I am. The worst part is that she is not just moving away, she is moving across the country – to Washington state.   Friends since 1999, we have shared some of the most important moments of our lives together and I just don’t know what I am going to do when she is gone.   Worst of all is how am I going to tell my four-year old that his best friend (my friend’s five year-old daughter) is moving away? How am I going to tell him? Will he even understand?
