Amazing Resuce

From USA TODAY
Another day in New York, another remarkable rescue.

Passers-by Julio Gonzalez and Pedro Nevarez caught a 3-year-old boy who fell four stories from a fire escape Thursday afternoon in the Bronx, the Associated Press and the New York Times report.

Gonzalez, 43, and Nevarez, 40, heard people screaming for help shortly after noon.

“He was hanging on for dear life,” said Gonzalez, a mechanic. “No one came,” Nevarez said. “We knew it was up to us.”

The boy, Timothy Addo, lost his grip and tumbled. He bounced off Nevarez’s chest and out of his arms, but Gonzalez grabbed him.
