According to the U.N. Food Agency:
“Some 18,000 children die every day because of hunger and malnutrition and 850 million people go to bed every night with empty stomachs, a “terrible indictment of the world in 2007.”

There are a lot of ways in which we can help fight this travesty locally, one of which is through donating time or resources to the FreestoreFoodbank. The FreestoreFoodbank (my favorite charity) serves more than 160,000 less fortunate people every year from our region (NKY, Cinci, Indiana) The Freestore helps provide assistance with everything from food, clothing, furniture and house wares to infant care products, personal hygiene products, bus tokens, and pet food.
