Getting Ready for Kindergarten

This fall SMB will start Kindergarten (don’t even get me started) at FW Elementary. To get him ready for school we purchased one of those early learning books as well as a few wide-lined notepads for him to practice his handwriting in.

You have to know that he has never been interested in writing letters, he has always professed that it is too hard, that he would rather just spell words out loud. He’s just never felt confident about it.

Now, I am happy and proud to report, that after just two days of working on his letters and in the books, SM is writing his name, he’s doing it by himself and he is beaming about it.

Check out this sample:

A special thank you to my mother, who spends her days with my children and who is playing a huge role is helping to make them the amazing little men that they are.
