So last night was it. The last time I will see my best friend Allison before she moves to Washington Friday morning.
Ever since we found out that her husband got the job out east we have been spending as much time as possible together. We have been friends for 9 years. We both have two children – her a girl 6 and boy 3; me boys 5 and 2 – that are best friends.
This is perhaps one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with. I think maybe in part it is because we had all these plans – our children would be BFF’s forever, we’d continue to BBQ together, camping trips with the fam’s, etc.
I have to say I am taking it pretty hard. I know that she and I will ALWAYS be best friends, and that our children will always be close, I just never thought it would be from across the country.
