Weekend Getaway
A few weekends ago we headed down to Somerset, KY to do some boating with the family. Somerset is one of our favorite family spots and a place we try to escape to at least once a month for a little R&R (plus, being a small town girl, I like to show the boys what small town living is like).
The trip was a huge success and we can’t wait to get back down there. There is just something about being on the water that just seems to “wash” away all my stress. It makes me more appreciative of the little things in life and helps me remember where I came from.

I have to say that I was pretty surprised to see the boys take to the water like a couple of fish. As a matter of fact, we had a hard time getting them to agree to get back in the boat at the end of the day. This was a huge improvement over the last time we boated when both boys refused to get in at all.
The trip was a huge success and we can’t wait to get back down there. There is just something about being on the water that just seems to “wash” away all my stress. It makes me more appreciative of the little things in life and helps me remember where I came from.

Thanks. I couldn't believe that they fell asleep so quickly. We had only been in the car for about 15 mins. I guess all the anticipation wore them out.lol
