My Little Man is Growing Up

He did it! SM made it the entire week with out getting a stick pulled! Getting a stick pulled is what happens when children fail to follow classroom rules. The first stick is usually pulled for something minor (not listening) and it escalates up to visiting the principal (the dreaded fourth stick!).

I am so proud of him. He was so determined to make it happen. His teacher is brilliant. She uses incentives to help motivate the children to follow classroom rules. Each day that the children survive without getting a stick pulled is rewarded with a sticker, and if they make it the whole week they receive a candy treat!

While SM hasn’t been a bad student he did get one stick pulled each of the first two weeks for loosing focus.

I am soooo proud of him!!

I will have to ask Jude what they get for not following directions.
I wonder if they have a PLAN.

    Congratulations!

I know it’s hard the first few weeks — little, minor things that I think nothing of, Josh will get 1 minute taken off recess for. But, I guess the early days set the tone!

    Good luck and congratulations!
