My girlfriend called me tonight upset with her husband. Apparently she is mad because he spent the entire evening down at his favorite bar watching girls wrestle in jello. It was a “regular’s” birthday and they were doing it as a spoof. My girlfriend’s hubby stayed out pretty late (past 12:30 a.m.) because he offered to help the owner by taping it.
I am not sure what I think. What would you do? Would you be upset? Part of me says yes. There is no reason for a married man to be out at 12:30 a.m. filming girls wrestle in jello. There are tons of young single guys who could handle it. The other part of me says it’s no big deal.
UPDATE: I spoke more with my girlfriend and she says that she wasn’t mad that he went to watch the jello wrestling – she was fine with that. She was just mad that it kept him out so late – after 1 a.m. She felt like someone else could have filmed the girls for the bar.
It wouldn’t bother me, but I know that Jason wouldn’t be at all interested in any part of it, except the commitment to film it.
It just depends on the motive : )
Honestly, as long as he was upfront about it, it’s not a big deal for me and our relationship.
I guess it boils down (IMHO) to how secure you are in your relationship with your spouse.
Did she know he was going to be late? And why? If so, all “objections” should have been handled BEFORE HAND not after. If she didn’t know what he was going to do, then I think she has a right to be a bit miffed.
That’s just my opinion, feel free to disagree…
Nah, wouldn’t bug me at all. Even being out until 1am. I think we all need to let loose once in a while, or we’ll go crazy. In all honesty, if it were my friend, I’d tell her to let go of the leash once in a while, but thats just me. And my friends get my matter of fact attitude. LOL.
Everybody needs a little Jello in their life… maybe not that much though.
The wrestling wouldn’t bother me but I agree. Is he really needed to shoot the video of the girls wrestling????
