Happy Halloween..

This year the boys had a blast trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. As you can see from the pictures, SM was the Red Power Ranger (again…) and the B-Man was a chicken.

Things for the B-Man didn’t start off too well. It took the B-Man a while to get used to wearing a costume but once he realized he could get candy, he was in.

Here is a question for you… Would you assume a child in a chicken costume is a girl? EVERYONE on our street kept telling me how “adorable” my daughter was. It was terrible. I felt like the worst mom. The only thing that helped was that we saw two other little boys dressed in the same costume.

It never even occur ed to me that it was a “girl” costume. I just thought it was cute and funny, especially since the B-man loves to pretend he’s a chicken.

Oh, well. I’ll be sure to choose more wisely next year.

And you’re the only one who must deal with others’ gender confusion.

People often refer to my son as “she” or “your little girl.”

And not when he’s in costume either.

  4. Absolutly adorable! And to answer your question No, I wouldn't assume that at all..The chicken suit has been pretty popular this year and almost ALL I have seen haev been boys! :)
