It’s a Miracle…. I Made a Pie

Check it out. The woman that hates to cook and who always messes up recipes, baked a pie. That’s right, you are reading this correctly, I made a pie. A tasty, apple crumble pie.

It is starting to look like baking might be my thing. First winning the cookie cook off at work and now successfully making a pie? I’m finally starting to feel good about myself in the kitchen!

If you find your mouth watering from the delicious picture of my tasty pie (sorry, I am a little high on myself right now, I’m really not a good cook.) here’s the recipe, It’s super easy:

1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust
4 apples – peeled, cored and thinly sliced (may vary depending on size of apples)
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons butter

Peel, core and slice the apples. Place in pie crust.
Mix 1/2 cup white sugar with the cinnamon; sprinkle over apples
Mix brown sugar, flour; cut in butter until crumbly.
Spread mixture over apples. Bake at 400 for 30 – 35 minutes.

Enjoy!

    Good pie baking!
    I have never made one.
    I can cook.
    However.. I can not bake.
    It is hard to bake.
It takes a lot of detail attention and you can’t screw any part of it up..
    Good job.

Good for you – thanks for sharing the recipe!! I'm the opposite, I can cook almost anything but tend to clean the kitchen, walk away, and leave baked goods in the oven to nicely burn :)
