Busy, Busy Weekend
Saturday morning Sean had a soccer game which took up a good portion of the day (it almost always involves a post-game lunch at the big McD). Afterwards I dropped the boys off at home and headed over to pick up my mom. I needed her help finding a Baptism gift for my soon-to-be God son, Ben. It took forever ( I was gone for at least 4 hours….) but I finally found the perfect gift at Things Remembered. I ended up purchasing a small blue snow globe with a little boy inside praying. Around the base of the snow globe it had the classic children’s prayer, Now I lay me down to sleep.
On Sunday we had Ben’s baptism. It was the first time I had seen, let alone been a part of, a Catholic Baptism. It was so beautiful and amazing. I found myself overwhelmed and honored that my friend Erin was trusting me with this huge responsibility, this huge honor.
Later that night we took the boys over to a friends house to watch the Super Bowl. We had a lot of fun until around 9:00 p.m. when the boys started to hit the wall. By the time the game was over they were ready for bed.

Wow… that is super cheap. Did the boys sleep in after their long day? Mine NEVER do. LOL, never!

Is cheap worth feeding the kids pizza and Mcd?? I will never let my children eat junk food.

Hi Anonymous,I appreciate your opinion. It is not about cheap,as I can assure you that I make a fine wage. Eating at Mc D’s or having pizza is a “treat” and not something they get to do very often.
I can assure you that my children eat very well. While I may not be as strick as you appear to be, they are fine.
I appreciate your anonymous concern.

Oh, good for anonymous! I’m so glad there are people out there who are brave enough to stand up for what they believe in…and then not sign their name.
My kids will eat fresh fish, edamame, and brown rice one night and chicken nuggets the next. It’s not going to kill them.
