Busy, Busy Weekend

This weekend ended up being pretty busy for us. On Friday night my husband had to work so the boys and I headed down to a local pizza place – Snappy Tomato- for dinner. I love going there because they have a pizza buffet which is great because none of us like the same toppings. It’s also great because it is SUPER cheap. It was less than $11 to feed the three of us. Can’t beat that!

Saturday morning Sean had a soccer game which took up a good portion of the day (it almost always involves a post-game lunch at the big McD). Afterwards I dropped the boys off at home and headed over to pick up my mom. I needed her help finding a Baptism gift for my soon-to-be God son, Ben. It took forever ( I was gone for at least 4 hours….) but I finally found the perfect gift at Things Remembered. I ended up purchasing a small blue snow globe with a little boy inside praying. Around the base of the snow globe it had the classic children’s prayer, Now I lay me down to sleep.

On Sunday we had Ben’s baptism. It was the first time I had seen, let alone been a part of, a Catholic Baptism. It was so beautiful and amazing. I found myself overwhelmed and honored that my friend Erin was trusting me with this huge responsibility, this huge honor.

Later that night we took the boys over to a friends house to watch the Super Bowl. We had a lot of fun until around 9:00 p.m. when the boys started to hit the wall. By the time the game was over they were ready for bed.
