In The News…CNN.com

A month or so ago I spoke with a reporter who was working on a story for CNN.com. Her story was about the Tooth Fairy and what the going rate was for today’s youngsters. Having just recently gone through this in December when SM lost his first tooth I decided to share my story with her.

Well it turns out that she included my story in her article and it is up on the front page of CNN.com’s LIVING page!

I am not completely in love with the way she quoted me, using “like” etc. but overall it is a very nice article and she was very nice to work with.

  1. That’s so cool!

(Don’t worry, that Frankel guy used “like” too.)

By the way, we made the same mistake with the first tooth. So, we ended up giving $5 for the first tooth, and a buck for every tooth after that.

  2. This is so cool! And I love how the editor addressed the divorced parent situation – my stepson lost his first tooth over our house and we didn’t know what to give and couldn’t reach his mom. We ended up giving a silver dollar – his only one – which he cherishes to this day (6 years later). I’m thinking about doing a rare-coin thing with our infant son when he’s ready. I like that idea…

  3. I love it. I hadn’t even thought about the going rate! Guess I should begin mulling that one over…

  4. Wow! This makes me glad my kids are teens — I couldn’t afford the tooth fairy’s current rates. Of course, I’m paying for braces instead…

  5. Thats so cool! So what are the going rates?? I am no sure I could afford them now. I remember the last time I did the tooth fairy thing with my daughter she totally caught me…by the time my son was in that stage he knew better…he was would just ask me for the money lol…oops!! Well I love your blog! Love to chat!

  6. So Cool!!!

We’re about to go broke in this house! Josh just lost one tooth and has two more that are barely hanging in!

I predict one will either come out in his sleep tonight or will be out tomorrow. The other in about a week.
