It’s Raining, It’s Pouring
The rain has been coming down all night and is expected to continue through tomorrow. We’ve had so much that it is seeping in to our basement. Right now it is just in the storage area but we have to watch it as our bedroom is down there as well.
We’ve been sucking up the water all night long with the carpet scrubber.
Say a little prayer that it slows soon. We just had the basement carpeted and if we don’t stay in front of this it might reach the carpet.
UPDATE: Well, stayed up late sucking water up with my Little Green Clean Machine by Bissell and I have to say that little machine pretty much saved the day – if you don’t have one I highly recommend it!
This morning the water has slowed down in the storage area but it has increased in our bedroom – thus affecting the new carpet. The rain hasn’t stopped yet and doesn’t seem to want to so I know what I’ll be doing the rest of today…..

I see you are in the same storm that I am in (Cols, OH here). My sump pump has been running overtime! If it wasn’t for that pump I know our basement would be knee deep!

That sucks. I am so sorry. I hope you were able to clean it up w/o needing new carpet etc.
