Happy Fourth of July
Happy Fourth of July! Got up early today to start the preparations. We’re having the parents over for a little family get together. It should be a lot of fun.
I am a little behind this year and, to no one’s surprise, just started thinking about the menu this morning. I am thinking about having hubs do some steaks and chicken on the grill for the main dish and then perhaps some corn on the cob and my signature pasta salad (I use a recipe from Rachel Ray but cut the ingredients smaller and add some spiral whole wheat pasta). For dessert I was going to make my favorite – apple crumble pie.
We’ll gotta run. Lots of cooking and prepping to do. Hope you all have an amazing and safe fourth of July weekend. I hope to read all about how wonderful it was.
