BlogHer Day 1 – Initial Impressions Of San Francisco

Check out our fancy room, complete with chandelier.
Our room came with robes. This is a first for me.
Please don’t think I am lame for thinking this is so cool!

View up a steep, steep street in downtown San Francisco. They have streetcars everywhere here (track on ride side of photo)!!
Union Square – If Cincinnati’s Fountain Square can evolve similarly, downtown Cincinnati will be awesome.

The robes are perhaps my favorite part of ANY hotel stay. I like to wear mine the whole time, in fact, so look for me walking the streets of SF in my hotel finery. (Just like The Dude.)

Ah, as a former bay area girl seeing the SF pics makes me smile! I’m not going to BlogHer, but dang… Awesome! Have fun!

San Francisco is probably my favorite city, hands down.
Across Union Square from your hotel is the flagship Banana Republic store. They are usually having an amazing clearance sale this time of year. The Flagship Old Navy is also nearby, and it’s also clearance season. Finally, my favorite Urban Outfitters is near your hotel as well. The shopping around Union Square, esp during clearance season, is amazing.

If you get a chance, do the touristy thing and hop the street car all the way to the end of the line and have an Irish coffee at the Buena Vista cafe. Yum! I always like to have breakfast there as well, when I can.

Finally, make sure you and the girls get a photo taken in front of The Clock in the St. Francis lobby. That’s a big thing, to meet “at the clock.”

We’ll be in San Francisco in October and I can’t wait to go back.

    Have a fantastic wonderful trip!
