Scene: SM goes in to give Grandma a kiss good night (grandma lives with us).
SM: Grandma, I like that picture. Is that daddy and aunt Ria?
Points to family portrait of grandma with my hubs and his brother and sister – taken in the early 80’s.
Grandma: Yes, that was when they were younger.
SM: You were older than everybody (he says very matter-of-factly)
Grandma: (holding back laughter) Yes, I guess you could say that.
SM – Was that during the Civil War?
Grandma bursts out laughing
