It really is the Greatest Show on Earth (Discount Available)

Every year I anxiously await the moment tickets for the Greatest Show on Earth go on sale. It’s an annual tradition for our family, one that started when I was just a child myself.

When I was in third grade my parents took me to the Circus for my birthday. It was the first and only time they would take me (We had to drive all the way to Omaha, NE – we lived in Iowa) but it would be something I would never forget. From the very moment the lights went down I was mesmerized. I’d never seen such a sight. It was unforgettable.

After I had my first child I knew right away that I would be taking him to the Circus when he was old enough to appreciate it. As that time came near I logged onto the Ringling Bros. Web site for details of when they’d be arriving in Cincinnati. While on the site I found information on Ringling’s Baby’s First Circus program. Through the program Ringling sends a free ticket voucher for your child (one time opportunity) that can be exchanged for a free ticket to any Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey performance, anytime, anywhere. I couldn’t believe it. It was such a cool gesture.

This year, through MomCentral, Ringling Bros. Circus is offering a 20% discount (enter code: MCC) to attend shows in the following cities:

Indianapolis, IN – Sept. 4-7, 2008
Kansas City, MO – Sept. 10-14, 2008
Grand Rapids, MI – Sept. 18-21, 2008
Denver, CO – Oct. 2-13, 2008
Boston, MA – Oct. 8-13, 2008
Cleveland, OH – Oct. 24 – Nov. 2
Chicago, IL – Nov. 6 – 30, 2008
St. Louis, MO – Nov. 6-9, 2008
Auburn Hills, MI – Nov. 12 – 16, 2008
Highland Heights, KY – Feb 27 – Mar. 1, 2009
Cincinnati, OH – Mar. 4 – 8, 2008
If you’ve never taken your children, I highly recommend you do this year. Going to the circus is something that not only your children will love, but you will to! I will probably be going twice this year as I live close to both the Highland Heights and the Cincinnati shows.

      We have never taken the kids to Ringling. We should. They went a long time ago to the Shriners Circus. Thanks for the info!

      I love the circus – would probably go even if my kids didn’t want too!
