All Good Things Must Come to an End

Today marks the end of what has been an incredible week spent with my baby brother. As I mentioned in an earlier post,  his visit was a surprise Christmas present for my parents. He lives in Dallas, TX and had told my parents that he wasn’t going to be able to make it home from Christmas. It was the BEST. SURPRISE. EVER. when he walked in the door Christmas Eve. I’ve never been a part of one of those moments where someone truly has a look of surprise and shock on their face.

This week has been amazing. We’ve spent so much time together and had a blast getting to know each better as “grown ups.” We hit the bars, did some shopping, took the boys to Newport Aquarium (where he pet his first shark!) and even spent some downtime together just hanging out.

One of his favorite memories, although I was not involved, will probably be his trip to Paul Brown Stadium to see his first professional football game with Marty.  It was a great day for a game and the last of the season, the Bengals even won!  Who Dey!

There are a million quotes out there to express how I am feeling so I will spare you. I am just so bummed that it is time for him to return to Dallas. I am trying to not let myself get too sad and to be a grownup about it. I know we’ll see each other again soon; it’s just never easy when it’s time for him to go.

Identity Crisis

I need help…. with WordPress.

In June of last year I created a WordPress.com blog for a soapbox race that I was promoting – www.Hopeboxderby.com.  Later in the year I moved my personal blog from blogger to WordPress.org. For some reason the Hopebox Derby avatar shows up everytime I post as Mommy Bits to another WordPress blog:

I’ve tried everything (everything for my limited knowledge of WP) to unconnect them. I’ve made sure they both has different email addresses on the accounts, I tried deleting the avatar from the Derby account, etc. For the life of me I cannot figure out why they are acting like they are “connected.” If anyone has any ideas I would be forever greatful.  I am hoping to turn the Derby account over to someone else but I don’t want to do it while this issue is happening.

Can anyone out there help me???? Please????

Letting Go…

It’s no secret that I am a little anal retentive when it comes to keeping things tidy around the house.  Today in the spirit of the season, I am letting go (you have no idea how hard it is for me…) and letting the boys have free reign over the living room.  Seeing how much fun they are having is making it all worth it!
