One of our favorite channels to watch has always been Sprout, a preschool channel for kids ages 2-5. If you read my blog regularly, you know that the B-man is a HUGE fan of some of their shows (in particular, PINGU and the Sunny Side Up Show). 

Well the other day I received an email from Sprout about a new show launching on April 24th that looks adorable. It’s called the Mighty Jungle, and it’s a live-action puppet series (originally from Canada) that takes place in the mighty jungle. Each episode runs 11-minutes (perfect for little attention spans) and features three jungle friends- a meerkat named Babu, a gorilla named Bruce and a rhino named Rhonda.  The jungle friends go through the same challenges, emotions, discoveries and social situations that most preschoolers face.

The Mighty Jungle premiers Friday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. ET.  during Sprout’s “Mighty Earth Week” celebration.  All that week the Sunny Side Up Show will be focused on ways in which children can make a positive impact on the Earth. They’ll talk recycling, do eco-friendly crafts and even do a little planting.  They’ll also be hosting a HUGE contest where parents can submit how they’re helping their children help the Earth for a chance to win a Calacastle from Creative Toy Shop!
