United Way Launches Give 5 Diaper Drive – You Can Help

Did you know that the average family of young children spends between $60 – $100 on diapers a month depending on the age of a child? It’s true. Diapers are expensive and most parents will find themselves purchasing them for 3-4 years!

You may be thinking, “Why the heck are you writing about diapers Shannan? Your boys don’t wear them anymore.” Well, that’s true. I’m finished with diapers but I’m bringing them up because starting today and running through June 21, United Way of Greater Cincinnati is hosting a diaper drive, with the goal of raising enough $$$ to provide 100,000 diapers to Tri-state residents in need.

Check it out:

With the state of the economy what it is, and many families experiencing financial pinches (and layoffs) like never before, the United Way wants to make sure local families don’t have to choose between buying diapers and buying food. They want to give a few families a little reprieve.

So how can you help?? All you need is $5. That’s it. It’s that easy. Just head on over to the United Way’s site, here and enter your information. After you donate, keep the momentum going and tell five of your friends.

Want to do more to help the cause? Help spread the word by sharing with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and other social media sites.
