Mommy Bits is Cooking!

OK, Well not really. I am not cooking, but Mommy Bits is sponsoring someone who is! That’s right people, Mommy Bits is an official sponsor of Cincinnati’s very own, Cooking With Caitlin Show, an outdoor cooking show that takes place every Wednesday on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati.

If you aren’t familiar, Caitlin is a pretty amazing chef with a really great story:

From the Web site: Caitlin has been tickling the food fancy of her family and friends since third grade. From an early age, she worked in restaurants and bakeries. Out of high school, however, Caitlin seized the opportunity to hone her skills in the classic French tradition of Le Cordon Bleu. She trained at their Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago and shortly thereafter returned to Ohio. It was at home in Cincinnati where she worked and studied under Chef Jean-Paul Belmont, an enormously talented and gracious Swiss-born artist, who has always and continues to mentor her. With so many food-focused experiences under her belt by age 20, Caitlin set about the business of establishing her own business.

I first met Caitlin and her crew about a year ago through Twitter. As a big fan of food, (who’s not talented in the cooking department), I was totally in awe of her mad skillz and entrepreneurial spirit. When she asked me about being a sponsor, I didn’t even hesitate!

If you live in Cincinnati and can get downtown to Fountain Square over your lunch hour, you can catch the Cooking with Caitlin Show live on Wednesdays at 12:15p.m. Each week Caitlin will have a special guest with her, this week it’s one of Cincinnati’s favorite chefs – Chef Jean-Robert of Pigall’s and Green Up Cafe fame.

For more information on Cooking with Caitlin or to check out photos, etc. from the show, click here to visit their blog.  Also, they will be posting videos shortly so soon it won’t matter where you live, you’ll be able to check them out online.

PS. Feel free to visit their blog and let them know how cool it is that they are partnering with parenting bloggers!!

  1. Cool for you Shannan! Sounds really neat. I am not that great with cooking either (I may or may not have slacked and ended up just opening up a can of baked beans as a side dish for my girl’s birthday cookout yesterday.) ;)
