This weekend we’re heading down to our favorite place – Lost Lodge in Burnside, KY- for a little down time and some boating. With work being so busy and having just gotten back from four amazing days at BlogHer, we need a little family time.

Talking OnStar with Motherproof.com’s Kristin Varela
This past weekend when I ventured to BlogHer in Chicago I was fortunate enough to be able to travel in style, thanks to the Chevy BlogHer Carpool. In being selected for the carpool, we were given a Chevy Traverse (more on that later) that included the OnStar system.
While I was doubtful at first about needing such a system (and never having used it before), it ended up being a life saver. Check out this interview I did about OnStar with Kristin Varela from Motherproof.com to hear how it saved the day.

Wii Birthday Party Bash is a Hit!
Thanks to the great folks at Mom Central,we were given the chance to try the latest game for Nintendo Wii developed by 2K Play called Birthday Party Bash.
To Quote :
“Birthday Party Bash is a “party-in-a-box” from start to finish and includes 12 ready-to-mail invitations, coupons for party supplies and Duncan Hines, a party-planning guide full of helpful tips and suggestions, and over 20 fun birthday party games, all played on the Wii.”
The game is full of all the old forgotten favs,from pin the tail on the donkey to hot potato and musical chairs!
We had a blast!! My four year old and almost seven year old tots kicked me up and down the track,beat me at pinata bashing and made me dive for the floor in musical chairs.
There are handy party themes,several characters you can design that you play as and even a rousing round of Happy Birthday!
Don’t get me wrong,this is more than a Birthday Game.. Its an any time game.
We have played and played till we cant play any more. It’s that much fun!
