Back to School Fashion Show

With school starting tomorrow, last weekend SM and I headed out to the stores to pick up his fall wardrobe for school. While you would think it would be like any other shopping trip with a young, seven year old boy  – lots of complaining and asking when we will be done– this year it was different. It was like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the fashion sequel. SM was really into it. He wanted to pick everything out himself.  He didn’t want my help and for the first time, had opinions about everything from shirts to shoes to even his underwear (“…it’s gotta be boxer briefs Mom”).

So after a few hours at the usual places – Florence Mall, Target & Shoe Carnival – we’d accomplished our mission, and headed home.  Thinking he’d be off to bigger and better things, imagine my surprise when SM proceeded to ask if we could do a fashion show! That’s right, he wanted to model all his new outfits for me — and to top it off he asked me to video tape it for my blog. I swear. This was HIS idea.

So that brings us to today. I am pleased to present SM – sporting the hot fashions for the 2009/2010 school year.  I hope you get a kick out of this as much as I did!

      He cracked me up. My favorite is the air basketball he plays when modeling the last outfit. He’s a hoot!

      what a cool kid! I like that Roxy was trying to get in on the action, too, why didn’t she model her new lifevest?!
