I Urge You to Consider….
… voting NO on 9.
I may live in northern Kentucky, but I spend A LOT OF TIME with my family in Cincinnati. I don’t normally get into politics, but there is an issue in Cincinnati — Issue 9, that’s a pretty big deal. So big, that I wanted to bring it up here on my blog. Essentially, if passed issue 9 will stop Cincinnati from spending ANY money on ANY passenger rail project without putting it to vote. Any money. Not just building new rail systems. You can read more about Issue 9 HERE and HERE, but in a nutshell it’s bad for Cincinnati.
Many of you know that my family just used rail (Amtrak) in our travels to Washington D.C. a few weeks ago. It was an amazing experience, one that I know we’ll do again. I would hate to see something like Issue 9 hinder rail systems (and progress) in Cincinnati.
If you live in Cincinnati, I urge you learn more about Issue 9 and the negative impact it will have on our city. Please consider voting no on 9!

i would vote no on issue 9 if i lived in Hamilton Co. I do not think the city should put in street cars, but I do think this amendment is to broad and might prohibit further progress in perhaps putting in rail or other transit issues.
