The B-Man is determined to buy Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. He’s been saving his money for weeks, counting it daily. This has def. been a good lesson in “earning” your toys and understanding the value of a dollar.

Thought these Febreze Sport outtake videos with Dhani Jones were fun. Always good to see our Bengals out there, even if this season hasn’t been the best. Reminds me that I still need to eat at his restaurant!
A few weeks ago my friend Andi launched a new blog with two of her friends called Lunch It Punch It, a fun way to eat healthier (and save $$$) by packing your lunch rather than eating out.
The timing of the launch of Lunch It Punch It was perfect for two reasons: A) My darling husband was starting to notice (and comment about) how much I was eating out B) With the new year I, like millions of people, am once again trying to loose weight, and when I pack it’s almost always 10x healthier than what I would have eaten out.

The way Lunch It Punch It works is simple. Just pack your lunch ten times, then treat yourself to lunch out the next day. To help you along the way, Andi and her friends share lunch box friendly recipes, talk about lunch box resources and lots more. One post, The Great Lunch Box Search, got me obsessed with finding a cute lunch tote. I finally found the perfect one today.
Check it out!
Cute right? By Fit & Fresh, it’s insulated and came with a 4-Cup container, two 1-Cup containers and a removable ice pack. They have a wide variety of designs, each coming with a set of containers (they have several varieties).
I just completed my first punch card and am looking forward to dining out for lunch this week. I know it’s a small thing, but I am so proud of myself for making it two weeks without eating out. I was averaging $20-$30 in lunches a week, so that’s a $40-$60 savings right there!!
For the past two weeks my oldest has been working on a class project that involved him researching and writing about an Indian Tribe of his choice (Chickasaw) and creating a diorama of the Tribe’s village.
I can’t tell you how proud I am off him. He has spent so much time on this project. Not only did he write a great paper, but he put together an amazing Indian Village.
