With the recent attack on the blog by spammers, I’ve definitely gotten behind here on MommyBits. Probably the biggest news I’ve been wanting to share is that I stepped down from my job as a Communications Manager with a local arts organization and started my own public relations and social media consulting business!
While I loved my job (and especially my co-workers), I really wanted to get back to my roots and focus on my two favorite aspects of communications – media relations and social media.
So, over the course of a few weeks I started planning it all out and on April 1st I made the big jump and launched Scooter Media Consulting. I set up a website, I launched a blog about social media and public relations, I created my social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, I updated all my personal accounts, and last but not least, my multi- talented husband created a logo for me (cute, right).
It’s been a little crazy, to say the least, but things are starting to fall in to place. I’ve rented an office down in MainStrasse Village and I have even signed on some clients.
