Lately I have been carrying a lot of stress in my neck and shoulders. I have a lot going on right now – caring for my family, managing the boys’ busy schedules, starting a new business, volunteering my time, etc. (like many of you, I am sure)- so it’s no surprise as things are just busy right now. Exercise has always been one of the best ways for me to de-stress and relax and I haven’t been able to fit it in.
I recently joined the Campbell County YMCA and am working on creating a plan that will allow me to do everything I need to do, and help me dedicate some quality time taking care of my mind, body and spirit. But since I haven’t made it there yet, I haven’t been able to reap those rewards.
Today I was online over lunch and found this GREAT desk yoga video on YouTube that focuses on neck and shoulders. I tried it and have to say it did help. I do feel a little better – more relaxed even. The moves are really easy (I have never done yoga before…) and the video is pretty quick, coming in at just 3:57.
