Under the Catholic School Influence

On my computer I have a sticky-note program that let’s me create digital post-it reminders and I can “stick” them on my desktop.

Today when I sat down at my desk I found the following note, left by my 9yr old.  Looks like he’s paying attention in Religion class!

Give prayer to God every night before you go to sleep to respect God and then he will respect you even more. Peace out!

Museum Center Adventures

Happy Wordless Wednesday.

I was recently invited to contribute an itinerary for the Cincinnati Museum Center’s new website so I thought for today’s Wordless Wednesday post it only appropriate that I share some photos from our various visits there.

I’ve “Weighted” Long Enough

Well, I did it. I FINALLY reached my weight loss goal and best part is, I did it by my goal- September 1- the day before we headed off to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary.

I can’t believe I did it. I cannot tell you the last time I weighed 135, I know it was during college. I’ve battled with my weight for so long. Im afraid to really believe I did it, which is why I took a photo of the scale ;-)

These last few months have been tough, but well worth it. I’ve never felt so good health-wise.

I’m going to continue eating well and working out so I don’t slip back. I’m also going to do a post shortly on some of the things I did, both with regards to eating and with regards to iPhone apps I used along the way – those that were helpful and those that were not (so you doubt waste your time.)

My 6 Year Old Hula Hooping Champion…

The Bman has been obsessed with hula hooping, ever since we attended the Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen event last April. I can’t remember the name of the group, but they were teaching kids to hula hoop as a form of exercise, and they let him keep his hula hoop (You would have thought they gave him 1 Million Pokemon cards….).

While he certainly can rock the hula hoop – he goes on for more than a minute – what is particularly funny is what he says towards the end of the video. He is certainly a kid of the digital age.
