A few months ago Marty & I had the chance to see Avenue Qat the Aronoff and ever since we’ve been talking about seeing another play or musical.  Well you can bet I was excited a few weeks ago when I saw that Spring Awakening was coming to Cincinnati. The highly talked about musical is coming to the Aronoff  Jan 12-24th and tickets start as low as $22.50!

Spring Awakening is the groundbreaking fusion of morality, sexuality and rock & roll about three teens coming of age in provincial and oppressive 1890′s Germany.

Winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical with a Grammy-winning score by Duncan Sheik, Spring Awakening celebrates the unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood with a power, a poignancy and a passion you will never forget.

I bring this up because representatives with the musical recently contacted me to see if I’d be interested in giving away a pair of tickets through my blog. Note from SA Representatives: While the show is as much a celebration of youth, with rocking anthems that bring down the house, it also deals honestly with serious issues including teen pregnancy, suicide, masturbation, homosexuality and abuse. It has tasteful partial nudity, strong language, and sexual situations and is not intended for young children. That said, the show has engendered communication between parents and their teens.
