Nashville Bound

This weekend I head to Nashville for one of my favorite blogging conferences, Blissdom.  While the conference will be filled with great sessions, I am most excited about seeing my friends.  You see, while we may talk all. the. time. online, there are only a few times a year that we actually get to be together and Blissdom is one of those times.

This year marks my 3rd trip to Nashville for the conference and I am sure it won’t be my last. I want to thank my friend Amy for giving me her ticket.  See I was having a brain-fart and had decided I wasn’t going to attend. When Amy found out she couldn’t go, she offered me her ticket and I’ve not been able to stop thinking about the trip since! I head out at 1p.m. today with my blogging pal Susan of Working Moms Against Guilt fame.

If you are a blogger who’s considered attending a conference before but just hasn’t, here are a few photos that represent why you should.  (Hint: You will meet and connect with the most.amazing.women.ever.)

Nashville Bound

Tonight Christina (A Mommy Story), Heather (Domestic Extroardinare) and Amy (Amy in Ohio) are coming for our pre-BlissDom sleepover and I am super excited about it. Tomorrow the four of us will pack up and head to Nashville (or Nash Vegas) for BLISSDOM09, a blogging conference for women.

Amy and I attended the first BLISSDOM conference back in October together (with our friend Susan) and I am really looking forward to attending this one. Aside from getting to hang out with some of my favorite blogging friends; Fussy, Barbara, and co. have put together a really great agenda. One thing that I am really looking forward to is meeting Jen Lancaster.  Jen is the author of several of my favorite books, including Bitter is the New Black. Jen is the first author I ever “followed.” I don’t mean in the stalker – restraining order way (Hi Jen, if you are reading this I swear I am normal…) but followed meaning I’ve bought and read all her books.

While I am down in Nashville I’ll also be visiting my FAVORITE restaurant — the Pancake Pantry.  If you’ve ever been to Nashville, you know what I am talking about. They serve THE.BEST. PANCAKES. EVAH!  They are so good that Amy actually referred to them as “Christmas on a Plate” the last time we ate there.

If you’re in Cincinnati and interested in hearing about the confernece and the things I learn, I’ll be sharing my notes at the February Cincinnati Women Bloggers meeting.
