Calling All Greater Cincinnati Mom Bloggers

Are you a mom blogger living in the greater Cincinnati area? Do you blog about your family, being frugal or things to do with children across the Tri-state?

I am working on putting together a listing of all the amazing greater Cincinnati mom bloggers. It seems like more and more of us are popping up every day and I thought it would be a great idea if we had some sort of master list that was public so we could find each other and connect (if we wanted to).

If you would like to be included, please CLICK HERE to enter your information.  I will of course share the list with everyone who contributes.

** Please note this list is NOT for marketing purposes. The list is solely being created to increase awareness of local Mom/parenting/savings/etc. bloggers around greater Cincinnati.

Nashville Bound

Tonight Christina (A Mommy Story), Heather (Domestic Extroardinare) and Amy (Amy in Ohio) are coming for our pre-BlissDom sleepover and I am super excited about it. Tomorrow the four of us will pack up and head to Nashville (or Nash Vegas) for BLISSDOM09, a blogging conference for women.

Amy and I attended the first BLISSDOM conference back in October together (with our friend Susan) and I am really looking forward to attending this one. Aside from getting to hang out with some of my favorite blogging friends; Fussy, Barbara, and co. have put together a really great agenda. One thing that I am really looking forward to is meeting Jen Lancaster.  Jen is the author of several of my favorite books, including Bitter is the New Black. Jen is the first author I ever “followed.” I don’t mean in the stalker – restraining order way (Hi Jen, if you are reading this I swear I am normal…) but followed meaning I’ve bought and read all her books.

While I am down in Nashville I’ll also be visiting my FAVORITE restaurant — the Pancake Pantry.  If you’ve ever been to Nashville, you know what I am talking about. They serve THE.BEST. PANCAKES. EVAH!  They are so good that Amy actually referred to them as “Christmas on a Plate” the last time we ate there.

If you’re in Cincinnati and interested in hearing about the confernece and the things I learn, I’ll be sharing my notes at the February Cincinnati Women Bloggers meeting.

I’m a Loser…. Or At Least I Hope to Be

As you know, I’ve been a little down in the dumps about my weight lately. I’ve really been wanting to get my act together and start getting back in shape, but I wasn’t sure I could do it on my own. Well now that’s no longer an issue….. Last week via twitter, something magical happened – the Cincinnati Losers blog was born.

Starting tomorrow, myself, along with six other Cincinnati women (Amy from Amy in Ohio, Julie from Wine Me Dine Me, , Kate from Kate’s Random Musings, Laura from Laura’s Carbon Footprint, Monica at Such A REDKATBLONDE, and Michelle at Wine Girl ) will begin our weight loss journeys together. There are seven of us, each taking a different day of the week to report on our progress (I’m Mondays), our bumps in the road, our moments of weakness, of successes. It should be a great experience. Be sure to stop by and root us on!
