Wow. Another busy, fun and adventure filled Saturday at our house.
We started off the day watching SM play his final soccer game of the spring session. He really has come along way since he started playing four months ago. Soccer has been huge in helping him with his confidence, with his listening and attention span, and even with his coordination. He’s made several good friends and I’m excited that he’ll be playing with them again in the fall.
After Soccer we headed to a play land for the birthday party I mentioned previously. We actually ended up arriving at the party about an hour and a half after it had started because of the soccer game. I’d checked with the little boys mother about arriving late and she said it worked since she’d probably be there later than scheduled and she was right. She and I ended up chit chatting while the boys played for an extra 2 hours after the party had officially ended.
From there we came home and prepped for a picnic at the local park. After eating we played on the playground for a while and then headed down the hill to play in the field directly behind the swing set.
After getting further down into the field my husband found a honey suckle bush (bush or tree??) and taught the boys how to properly taste the “honey” inside.

After about 20 minutes of that (good thing the flowers only contain a small drop of honey) we headed off for a little hike through the woods.
Needless to say, a good time was had by all and everyone should sleep well tonight. Tomorrow: We celebrate the B-Man’s birthday. The big T-H-R-E-E!
