    This weekend, while at the grocery store picking up travel supplies for my trip to BlogHer, my 7 yr old asked if he could get some deoderant. While he doesn’t quite need it yet, I agreed and he picked out a travel sized Speed Stick and placed it in the cart.

    Later that night, having already forgotten about the purchase, the following goes down, letting me know that marketing works (at least with 7 yr olds):

    SM: Mom, Smell my armpit

    Me: Umm, only if you smell MY armpit

    SM: Gross Mom. Really, smell my armpit. It smells good.

    Me: (leaning in, pretending to smell it) Wow, it does smell good

    SM: I know, It has a great clean scent and will last all day, the label says so.
